Theatre and Education / Teatro y educación
Dear collaborators,
The editorial board of CONCEPT academic journal and the Master’s Degree in Theater Research of the Rodolfo Usigli National Center for Research, Documentation and Information (CITRU), of the National Institute of Fine Arts and Literature (INBAL) of Mexico, invite you to submit research works, such as original articles, scientific essays, interviews, and editorial reviews for the dossier Theatre and Education, in the following fields of study:
- Theatrical Pedagogy, which seeks methodological and/or interventional educational proposals, as such as their results, in which theater and its correlates provide the pedagogical tools for teaching-learning processes of a variety of subjects and matters in formal and informal school contexts.
- Applied Theatre, in attention to the study, from different perspectives, of planning, implementation, and evaluation of those public or civic social assistant programs that employ theatre and its correlates as educational vehicles to impart a variety of subjects and matters in many contexts.
- Curricular Development and Design, where the case is to study, from the selected perspective, the presence of theatre and its correlates in the scholar curricula in its different levels and sectors, in both formal and informal education.
- Theatre Didactics, which looks for the achievements and discoveries regarding the teaching and learning of theatre as an artistic language and/or discipline in such contexts as professional or early education schools and recreational community integration instances.
Estimados colaboradores,
El consejo editorial de la revista CONCEPT y la Maestría en Investigación Teatral del Centro Nacional de Investigación, Documentación e Información Rodolfo Usigli (CITRU), del Instituto Nacional de Bellas Artes y Literatura (INBAL) de México, invitan a presentar trabajos de investigación, tales como artículos originales, ensayos científicos, entrevistas y reseñas editoriales, para el dossier Teatro y educación, en los siguientes campos de estudio:
- Pedagogía teatral, donde se incluyen propuestas metodológicas y/o de intervención educativa, así como resultados de las mismas, en cuyo marco el teatro y sus correlatos aportan las herramientas pedagógicas para los procesos de enseñanza y aprendizaje de diversos temas y materias en el entorno escolar, tanto formal como informal.
- Teatro aplicado, mismo que comprende el estudio, desde distintas perspectivas, de la planeación, la implementación y la evaluación de los programas de asistencia social, así públicos como de la sociedad civil, que emplean el teatro y sus correlatos como vehículos educativos para la impartición de diversos temas y materias en un sinnúmero de contextos.
- Desarrollo y diseño curricular, en cuyo caso se trata de estudiar, desde la perspectiva elegida, la presencia del teatro y sus correlatos en los currículos escolares de los distintos niveles y sectores educativos, tanto formales como informales.
- Didáctica del teatro, donde se da cabida a los avances y descubrimientos relativos a la enseñanza y el aprendizaje del teatro en tanto que lenguaje y/o disciplina artística, bien se trate de contextos escolares de iniciación o profesionalizantes, bien de entornos recreativos de integración comunitaria.

CONCEPT academic journal also publishes reviews of theatre and cinema books (1500-2000 words) and interviews with personalities from the related fields of Theater and performing arts, Cinema and Media, some of them established, others on the rise.
We attach the latest issue of our magazine, eloquent for the categories of articles detailed above.
We accept articles that have not been published in other scientific journals.
CONCEPT is a biannual open access academic publication, edited by the I.L. Caragiale National University of Theater and Cinematography, which has been published since 2010. CONCEPT uses a double-blind peer-review system, is classified C by the Romanian National Council for Scientific Research, and is indexed in several international databases: CEEOL, SCIPIO, EBSCO.
