The National University of Theatre and Film “I.L. Caragiale” Bucharest (UNATC) welcomes applications from international candidates for Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Doctoral programmes in the fields of Theatre and Performing Arts and Cinematography and Media.
Admission is organized in full-time education and is open to EU/EEA/Swiss citizens, Romanians from abroad, and non-EU foreign citizens, each category following specific procedures established by Romanian law and the university’s own regulations.
All candidates — regardless of category — apply through the university’s online platform, accessible at www.unatc.ro, under the Admission 2026 section. Registration requires uploading the complete application file electronically; once validated, candidates receive a unique participation code confirming their eligibility to sit the admission examinations.
Study documents obtained outside Romania must be recognized by the competent Romanian authorities prior to registration. Documents from countries party to the Hague Apostille Convention must bear the Apostille; documents from other countries require super-legalization through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the issuing country and the Romanian embassy or consulate.
All admitted students sign a study contract with the university and are registered in the faculty’s academic records.
